We've known for a while that some birds are very intelligent being able to solve problems and use language. Some recent research in Australia has shown a surprising connection between social play, intelligence, and longevity.

Corvids are extraordinary. They are highly intelligent, long-lived, and social, just like human beings. They manufacture and store the tools that they use, and communicate advanced concepts throughout their groups and families. They also bear grudges. Do one crow wrong and you will have to deal with the ire of all its friends and descendants for the rest of your life. :2funny:
