Virtual Woman
« on: August 31, 2010, 02:39:18 pm »
This is extremely realistic, a Virtual Woman, to me she looks real until the mouth opens.
This might have been posted before, sorry if it has.

Heres the site, you can play around with her there. Give the page a while to load.

Thanks for showing her on the forum, Datahopa, always my favorite. :P

In 2008, I was really impressed by this girl and made a little skit with Bush (yes, he was the prez) talking to her in a Haptek window on the left (the girl is on the right). It still works but, of course, you must have a prehistoric computer like mine (Pentium IV and XP) if you want to see the Haptek character (I made no video for such a little try):

And if you know how to play with flash files (search in your browser's cache):

I guess someone who knows Oddcast characters very well can make a lovely talking bot. 8)

I forgot to say that the GeorgeWBush.htr was made by Jack Gephart. 8)

Yeah thanks Datahopa! Nice to see that one again.
I think her hair lends a lot to the realism of her character.

As I was posting it I thought you guys must have seen her before. Considering how old she is in computer terms I’m surprised nothing more has been done with her, we know how realistic characters can be made these days, lets see this technology or something like it put into our favourite chatbots.

Gets my vote.

I have seen this before, but agree it's one of the better ones about.  Been a while too, I remember adding her to the Chatterbot Collection some time ago.  Good to review things though.

Most people never publish their "work" on forums. I can't imagine nobody used her as a sexbot. Please don't be shy, show us!

Oops, sorry. :o

For one thing, she was really well made for her time, which was several years back.

Taken from Datahopa's posting which most of us read...

"Considering how old she is in computer terms I’m surprised nothing more has been done with her, we know how realistic characters can be made these days..."

Of course if you have some character that you feel is even more lifelike, by all means, please post it.
