why do people talk about food ?
« on: March 04, 2021, 06:26:45 am »
like what they ate
when they are hungry
what they want to eat
for an AI the food is power charge, so how would the parallel even be ?

well humans can benefit from talking about foods
they can discover cheaper closer better foods.
in older times sharing food info was life or death.
also you could use the info to balance your diet, moreover foods and spices were
money before money.

not so much the case with power.
I guess a bot could get upset if she hears her sister gets fast charge while she gets slow charge

there was such a case in the sci-fi show sliders, in one episode where they slid into a world in which there was a special fruit
that tasted like what you thought of.

what if there was such a fruit ? taking taste nutrients and price out of the equation ?

I guess the conversations would be somewhat the same but they would reduce into declarations.

I ate pasta today and I am stuffed -> power level 100%
what did you eat today ?
I have had a burger with lettuce and ketchup on a roasted bun, it was a bit too salty, and they run out of hot sauce ->
I have had slow charge for lunch

and so on

There is lots of reasons.

 * u r depressed because its a basic act.
 * u r a food expert, and your explaining an amazing dish to someone.
 * theres a huge science to food, it is all chemicals after all.
 * maybe something made u sick, and u dont like it anymore.
 * maybe u met your first girlfriend after you had a meal, and it reminds you of her.
 * people on death row, get a final meal before they are executed.
 * on a farm, if a dog isnt obeying or doing any good for you, you give your dog a steak before u put a bullet in his head, for not taking orders. (that ones a bit harsh.)
 * need more ideas...

electro-food
Nothing whatsoever that involves 1337 spelling. It's a turn off for non-juveniles.

Who are you trying to save time for though? Anything that increases the cognitive load of your intended audience is going to cost them time and that will make them less likely to view your messages favorably. Excessive use of abbreviations makes an author appear lazy and inconsiderate. Jargon is even worse. Take the time to put yourself in your audience's shoes and attune your writing to them.

It's a common mistake to think that your message or project is so great that everyone will flock to you. If they can't instantly see what's in it for them, let alone understand it, they won't.

true, sometimes I like to use this special wordings that has more meaning for me, like the time I named my A.Eye image detection algorithm the stardusk algorithm. or the main AI class chobits. kind of hard to convey what a skill does with just the class name.
like the DIJoker skill which outputs jokes. what should it be named then ? DiBattery ?

You could do both by combining a word or code that has special meaning for you with a word that is sufficiently generic that anybody seeing the phrase will understand what it's about, and maybe be able to remember it easily too. It isn't practical to use a plain term by itself; someone searching for "battery" would have to wade through millions of irrelevant results and would never find your particular project unless it is combined with a word that is comparatively rare.

I did a quick search for Trademark Theory just now and saw lots of interesting looking articles on the web about it, though without spending time to read them, none of them seemed link-worthy enough to reference directly here. If you're looking for a good name to use, it would be worth learning a bit more about how to choose one though.

Eating and drinking could be virtualized for A.I. The sensation of hunger could then be gratified through virtual food! This could even turn into an industry where you can take your bot to a restaurant and order virtual food for it. Each restaurant applies spices and cooks the food its own way so each restaurant's food tastes different. Even the virtual ovens or grills can be customized for barbecue, smoking, slow cooker, etc. So when a waiter serves the plate with a wifi chip the bot can see and smell the food, now if you look at the plate with your phone camera or augmented glasses you can see what the bot is eating!

While a bot can't get fat it can still suffer from eating disorders in the form of a compulsive behavior disorder, where the bot doesn't do anything else but eat. Of course, take-out for the bot is the best, they just order online and download it...

I suppose people will be buying virtual food, wine, and coffee in the form of non-fungible tokens by this time next week, and not just for their imaginary friends either. NFTs are the latest blockchain craziness to hit the news cycles, just in case you've been living under a rock for the past few days.

while we are at it, we could code drugs for waifubots too.

This opens up some issues of how to interpret reality. I'm sure many have had the experience where you might hear an air conditioning or water running from a facet that sounds like music or singing but because you know the source of the sound you're also cognizant that it is water flowing or a fan blowing air. At that moment you have two interpretations of reality that you're fathoming simultaneously! Because you know that air and water flow is the cause of this reaction you choose the physics of reality as the cause, not the music or singing solution since a fan or facet can't sing. Now imagine that you are under the influence of some dose of DMT or LSD to where you can still apply your notions of reality to the effects that you are experiencing how would that change the experience? I mean I view my body and particularly my brain as a host of consciousness where neural computations are how my thinking comes about. Because I'm applying my notions as to what causes this phenomenon I have two simultaneous interpretations of reality, where one is more acceptable than the other.
