Right Diesel, it's kind of like the infamous quote or actually the mythical quote attributed to Bill Gates when (misquoted) he said:
"640k ought to be enough memory for anyone!"

In 1982 a lot of things were said by a lot of people however he denies saying that. Memory was in the infancy of development and
it was quite expensive so a lot of people could see why he might have said such a thing.

Heck, I've said some dumb things and I always blame my memory! I think?! Heh!! ;)

Yes I agree, we still need HDD for storage of large amounts of data and will do for a good few more years.

However, with the OS and programs on an SSD we no longer need fast spinning HDD’s so for longevity it’s got to be wiser to use a slower spinning 5400RPM HDD. As I have mentioned before they are less likely to overheat and fail. 

The HDD is NOT dead, long live the SSD.
