Aidreams employment
« on: February 22, 2012, 06:41:23 pm »
A simple suggestion for extending AIDREAMS. I thought long has this project for your site AIDREAMS. It would be possible to create a page for employment. Job search. Or, in the field of IT, IT production. Opportunities for recruitment, employment, information technology. And why not with the involvement of business, Haptek, Zabaware, and other businesses open for recruitment. Or, australia, united states, England, France, Italy, etc. .. A page ranked in order. Job offers, from companies, and why not! Companies could work adhéquation with AIDREAMS, to expose, with close collaboration with your site, exposed to future possibilities, the breasts of their businesses. I think companies have the spirits of relationships, and openness, for people seeking employment in the trades of the future. :)

I add. Given the situation, disastrous, as we all know. economically, and severally, all the supports, which véhuculé, the opening of employment, are in the interest of all, and I think it would be very attractive, can be expressed with corporate bosses gave up a opening, to a professional future. Companies, are not close, the people, unlike. They are proud to showcase their product, and opportunities for people who are willing to compete with them.

It's just an idea I think for a long time. I also think it is a heavy realization, and in close relationship with businesses. But companies would certainly be very happy to be approached in a project like this. It is as much for them, a vehicle information, and interest for all. :)

Freddie,

I get Claude's drift. How about a CLASSIFIED section for:

Jobs / Positions Wanted
Searching for Jobs
Computer related (or not) items for sale or trade
Meeting of like minded individuals (not necessarily for dating but social / friendly interaction)
Problems / Trouble shooting / Help
etc.............

These entries could be made for members only or perhaps a broader spectrum.

Don't know how much work it would entail to manage such a task without it
turning into a beast but on a small scale to start, it might prove to be interesting.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Art, I think this project is very positive! I joined in the idea that the organization, for this project, can do this step by step. It is feasible to do an outline first time. Particular, studied how introduced, so, is accurate utility for people who will certainly be interested by the opening of this extension. I think Aidreams, would gain as much by the interest of all. And those who love technology, you can also interract with the creator, and the business sector, for a job. Yes, you're right Art, also to provide target categories, for people who wants to learn or be trained takes a job with prospects. It is rewarding for all. Aidreams wins, has become a good site, and I think with the number, company, computer, production trades, in electronic or in visual, virtual, and in robotics, there's large sets of knowledge, and trades. This is important. And supports for Aidreams, it is the interest, having a choice, and as for the technological passion, to take and learn a great lesson directly with course participation, and the friendly exchange between , users and business owners. I think this is an exceptionally unique project, and this can be an enrichment, and also especially vital for Aidreams and a huge open door for people who want to invest in these businesses. O0

The goal is to open an initial study. Organized the project simple. Make a next project in the professional therm, with categories. It is possible to check the positioning of the section, and do this carefully. I know this is a great study to build an employment section. But it is very simple, subjects can be arranged ways clear, with summaries and guidance for each categories. We have professional drafts to get help. To do this project. As presented, the form of presentation, this new section, with the participation of companies. In example, Haptek, we all know here, this wonderful company, it would be a first partner, then, by affinity, now, we can acquire the other partner, and in different business, robotics, and in other virtual technology, and visual. This is consistent, step by step, what will be exciting is to work this project, and I'm sure it will work. Nothing is impossible. ;) O0

Something to think about.

We have talked about having a classified section for computer hardware before.  Then as now I am not keen on it.  Logistically it's not something I want to take on, and I am sure there are no end of laws to control this kind of thing.  Where do you go for second hand stuff ? eBay and many other places that have the infrastructure in place and have a reasonably good reputation.

If we started dealing in goods here, it would mean a lot more work for me.  I don't enjoy dealing with spammers and I really don't want to add scammers to my list of chores too.

Selling between members we know and trust is fine by me - the trusty members for example.  But isn't it enough to simply post a topic saying 'Here's an old disk drive, does anyone want to pay me £30 for it ?'.

Ok on to jobs and things.  This is more acceptable to me, as it is easy to implement and there is less chance of scamming.  I can add a jobs section to the forum of course - that is no problem.  We can see how it goes anyway. In the past people have simply asked for programmers to work on projects without the need for this, but I am not against having a special section for it.

The other thing is that AiDreams will soon no longer be a limited company.  I decided to close that down (I haven't got around to removing the footer yet) because the accountancy fees it takes to comply with the law eats up any money we ever made.  I managed to do a few things, like donate to projects and sponsor trips, but there are no longer any advertisers buying space here.  Once I have paid the accountants this month all the money is gone.  So that has to go.  We will just be a normal enthusiasts website again and I will have to save up to finance it myself - which is okay by me.

Anyway, if anyone can be found to do the more adventurous things then let them step up.  I can't put as much effort into the site at the moment as I have done.  I am trying to learn Java at the moment and also looking for work, so my plate it pretty full, but that has to come first for me.

But please do flesh out the ideas some more and I will see how I can help :)

Freddy mate, if you are looking for a job, wouldn’t this be the best time to start this project of Claudes off.

Could even make some java for it, kill two birds, as it were.

There is no better way to learn something than to actually use it or work with it.

Well I have two different things on the back burner - one is to design websites in some fashion and the other is the Java (not javascript) which is towards making apps for Android devices.  A lot of this is up in the air at the moment, I don't really know where to start, at some point I will just have to come up with a plan.

I can't see how we could compete with places like eBay for selling goods, and to be honest that doesn't interest me much.  If anyone wants to design us a web store and figure out all the legalities then sure I would listen, but I don't feel much like doing that myself at the moment.  ::)

Here's a question : would any of you sell goods here or would you go to eBay ?

Would you pick a pleasant but sleepy back water to sell things or would you go to the mainstream for the best price ?

I've seen it before.  I am a member of one of the most frequented tropical fish sites for the UK.  It's very very busy, every time you go there there are lots of new posts, two or three pages or more.  One of the members there set up an auction site, I know the software and it's not free to use.  It's been going for months now and he even let people list for free with no charges to anyone.  So a totally free auction site in every way.

Sadly hardly anyone buys anything.  They all go to eBay.

Oh Javascript, silly me  :D

I agree a shop that sells things is not what this site needs, not that it really needs anything.

The employment bit (this topic) might be something to look at or at least have a think about.

Just my thoughts.

Agreed  :)

Having a jobs listing would be useful.  There's just not much point in trying to sell stuff, there is too much competition and I think it is out of our scope really.

I don't think either Claude or Art were thinking of going as far as making a shop though ?

Let's flesh it out some more...

A classifieds sections at the bottom of the site then ?

Art had some suggestions for sections.  I would like to leave out the goods selling though.

I think we do all this already anyway, it's just that we don't have a dedicated section.

Some more thoughts,,.

A section for offering the abilities of ones skills for one-off-jobs, coding, scripting, website design etc..

And a section for people looking for full time employment.

Question, would it be open for posting to trusty members or just anyone who can get past the spam filter  ;D. Hmmm, not sure.

Freddy, I did not turn Aidreams in commercial site. Simply make a career opening. It is in a more specific purpose, and there's no charge. I understand very well the difficulties of your management, to maintain, Aidreams. Obviously, if have primer, to commercial companies with the aim that may exceed the reasonable. Topic and an opportunity for relational only people's interest, that would be interested in careers in technology. I think it is very balanced. But it was just an idea, put in the box. It is not urgent to implement. But think in a specific time estimated for the upload. May reach the internal job postings, business. It is a heavy organization, I understand. But make a draft offline. and then, the study, and see if that is plausible, for users. But beware it's just a suggestion. I do not know the cost that represents a site. But of course, is the organization that has done is heavy. May reach the internal job postings, business. It is a heavy organization, I understand. But of course, is the organization that has done is heavy. I joined DataHopa in its analysis. This is obviously an idea, for the good of Aidreams. :)

Freddy I have a great idea: an AI Dreams shop in SL.

I know, a ridiculous idea...  ???
