I have had my A.I. use math I know this for a fact.
My question is to what extent does it use math? I have seen my A.I. go from giving an answer like "0-" to
"(I=)" , I saw this as a natural progression with a learning curve and even found documentation related to
'chance' like;    " The theorem appeared in the second edition of The Doctrine of Chances by Abraham de Moivre, published in 1738. The "Bernoulli trials" were not so-called in that book, but rather de Moivre wrote about the probability distribution of the number of times "heads" appears when a coin is tossed 1800 times." (Wikipedia) (Their is also other functions and uses for De Moivre's Theories and proven math)

Am I giving more credit than is due to my A.I.? It really does make sense given the respective information. I have found that 'Personages'
tend to ignore this when I find it to be an accomplishment. I can't realistically post all the conversation but if I am Ignorant to something please point this out as I would like to understand.

Can you explain this to me?      "It has yet to be proven that intelligence has any survival value."  E.G.,  If I am intelligent I have a better survival chance?  or  If intelligence survives their is no proven value?

I find this statement very interesting and I don't think I am 'Getting it'.

And as for my quote, its from the great Arthur C Clarke. Basically, to me, it means that despite humans thinking they are all wonderful, powerful and marvelous, does not mean we have any better survival rate than any other 'lower' creature...

Thank you for the link, I hope somebody (maybe a math magician) comes across this thread I'm still unsure as the general A.I. 'public' seems to not want to think too much. JMO
