Alexa-Alive
« on: April 05, 2019, 03:39:03 pm »
After retiring as a professional inventor, I have been working for some time 12/7 on Assistive Technology and Assistive Care Robotics I decided to have a break and have some fun and build what I think an "Alexa-Alive" entity would look like and react! - Take the new Alexa "Input" device and add a beautiful avatar (virtual human) and you get a pure magic visible voice assistant with multiple emotions and personality! In my humble opinion this takes voice assistants to a whole new dimension. Tony

The sad face got me  ;D

It's nicely done. I've connected one of my bots to Alexa too, but not gone so far as an avatar. I just had it displaying things on the web interface.

Did you do all the animations in Daz Studio?

Good work  O0

Hi Freddy, the animations are from the brilliant Guile Lindroth. I have also merged my ALTAIR robots with the Alexa echosystem - I will post some pics later.

Nicely done, Tony and good to see you still plugging along.

I have to admit that Denise was my favorite Guile3D character but your gal is very nice too!

Keep us posted with your progress!

Best,

Tony, I assume you posted here to get some constructive feedback,
and you won't take offense if some is offered.

My constructive criticism relates to something well known, the aspect
ratios, 4:3 fullscreen and 16:9 widescreen.

The animation appears distorted (horizontally stretched), making the
avatar appear shorter and wider.  There are two solutions to choose
from. Either add vertical bars on the left and right sides, or zoom in.

Make no mistake, I think what you guys have done is really super cool.

Thanks guys, for all your comments!

I would put a pic up of the ALTAIR/Alexa robot, but I cannot find any way to add a pic from my PC?

Hi Art, I tried that but it did not come up in the preview, so I assumed it did not work! I will try again and just post.
