Some good points have been made here by the author, however these facts could be interpreted in many ways.
Software and Hardware developer, and everything in between.

Garbage watch indeed!! Apple's watch is so like those old Red LED watches back in the early 1970's...it took TWO hands to be able to tell the time because the other (non-watch wearing hand), had to press the buttons in order to make the LED's light to indicate the time!! Whoohoo! Nice for it's time but looking back, what a load of crap!

The bottom line, Apple want's to SELL you their product!!! Can't you all see that!?! It's all about the bottom line!

Even the venerable Microsoft had a smartwatch of sorts years ago. It could hold an entire list of your phone contacts, name and numbers and it info could be loaded into it via a windows program that flashed a bunch of horizontal white lines across the screen while one held the tiny sensor on the watch to face the screen. Cool but again...things get old when they become less practical to use.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

Just a little side note.  I emailed the author a minor edit to the article,
and mentioned I found the article from this forum.

Oh... And my next post here will be number three hundred.
Maybe something special will happen?

So from the discussion regarding the entrance to a new age of our civilization, Art took out the rant against Apple (which I support, but...) and 8planet figured he is about to hit 300 posts (I hit 400 a day or two ago but sadly nothing magical happened)...

My take on this is:

Software and Hardware developer, and everything in between.

The article has little scientific fact and lacks interesting points but as usual I rarely share articles due to their content and quality, yet because of the interesting topics they sometimes attempt to discuss (and which I attempt to open up here).

I guess I am just trying to justify why I shared such a dull and uninformative article?

For my 300th post,
to speak well for the AiDreams community.
I am very proud to announce...

I successfully provided an edit to this Gizmodo article!
The author, Annalee Newitz, thanked me via
email which totally made my weekend!

I see my edit is now there in this article,
However, I will keep the details secret,
like any good proofreader would do.

Good work, Ultron, starting this excellent thread.
