In terms of extraordinary intelligence in animals, a crow (bird) has extraordinary intelligence too.  Crows not only use tools, they actually figure out the best method to use the tool to do a job.

Years ago we had a border collie. Such a sweet, highly intelligent and protective dog. She was so intelligent that she had us trained in no time! 

I do enjoy our local family of crows and their antics constantly amuse us.

These other vids might provoke some additional thought along the lines of intelligent animals.

All cool vids… I love this kind of stuff.

An octopus has nine brains…well… it has distributed processing; one for each leg/ tentacle besides its main noggin. I have two… hehe.

Ant/ insect swarm intelligence slime mould, etc… all fascinating learning.



Even bee’s can use tools apparently… such little brains… sooooo much processing power… makes you want to re-define what’s required for intelligent behaviour.
