Brain cells teleport information!
« on: November 07, 2020, 04:32:36 pm »
This is pretty interesting.  You can't help and think but what if other kinds of brain cells can be controlled with lasers? And then what stops big brother or any government from using it to control the masses?

Why do we need place cells when we can have Dog, Animal, House, MyHouse, Skyscraper, road, Jungle, Tree, SunFlower, and Leaf cells?

When you go in the kitchen, if you see a plate or chair or door it causes different predictions, if you look at a wide enough view and see ALL those items, you stimulate a larger feature "chair+plate+door+oven+fridge+backsplash". Same thing.

While we certainly group kitchens together, we can still know where we are even if we didn't.

Maybe location is a compressed summary of previous prediction work. So you don’t have to start from scratch every time you switch environments.

By stimulating cells which do not correspond with our current environment, we can be "mentally teleported" to the location to which those cells are linked in memory.

All they did was stimulate neurons that had memory of another location.. then dream on it being related to teleportation

I don't think this would work at long ranges, because our brains aren't exposed. The government would have to capture us and install remote control lasers in our craniums.  :tickedoff:
