William Gibson Interview.
« on: September 11, 2007, 09:50:20 pm »
For anyone who is into William Gibson (and if not I urge you to look him up - Neuromancer, Johnny Mnemonic, Burning Chrome) here is an interview that I dug out of the news feeds...

"The fantasy worlds of his bestselling Eighties novels were uncannily prophetic, but where does the sci-fi writer go for inspiration when the future catches up on us? More than 20 years after he coined the term 'cyberspace', he talks to Tim Adams about the shape of things that came to pass."

After reading a collection of his short stories (Burning Chrome) I became addicted to his writing.  I think Neuromancer is up there with the best of Sci-Fi, just as good as things like Bladerunner in terms of amazing ideas.   I will have to add some of his books to our bookshop, I don't remember adding any when I first put it together.  I'm glad you found the link interesting :)
