Then I just left the rest to people's imagination.

Wow! What a wonderful, inspirational young man, whom, I believe, will fulfill his dreams!
His efforts should stand as a beacon of encouragement to everyone who wonders...if they can!

Great story and thanks for sharing, One!
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

I've flushed the design out a little better, checking for further functionality in Python. The only thing I was interested in that is missing is direct RAM access, but that feature probably isn't necessary for normal usage, and poses security risks and potential computer errors and damage.

I had some quick inspirations for interface features. I'm thinking about including an RSS feed in the program for news and content related to the program. I've also thought about an updater. Maybe an email subscription for some purpose, but the place to sign up for that would probably be on the program website.

Don't worry though, these will intentionally not be in the first release. The first release will be about the essentials.

Encarta is posted here if you haven't noticed, I mean this in in response to e-mail.
Just imagine a 'brain' sitting in front of you w/o arms or a body.

You catch my drift?

Yes that sounds good - how about another step and have the actual AI relay this information ?  Although, I am not that sure if it would be an improvement - sometimes a book is better than a PDF, it's one of those situations...

I do think it would be nice for the AI to surf RSS feeds though, somewhat similar to Tyler here - the bonus there is the information is in a very usable format already - and there are thousands of RSS feeds.  Food for thought.

I was talking about news and content from the program's website. Not general news. However, it shouldn't be too hard to configure the display to have the option of displaying RSS feeds from other sites.

Yeah I think we got our wires crossed - I knew what you meant - it just made me think of further features for the Ai...

I have some good news. After doing a quick search for a Python RSS module, I found one. I'll have to check it to make sure it's good, but this should help.
