Sorry I haven't been around much. Been rather tired and sick lately so I haven't really been on the board much. Things are getting interesting in the WowWee robot world again now that the company gave us a new liason to the RoboCommunity.com forum. So I am in contact with that person about a programming project I'm working on. Hopefully will hear more from him in the coming week so that will mean hopefully some more bot time.

While down sick I was also doing some soul-searching on my own beliefs and spirituality and how technology affects it. It was an incredibly interesting experience. Also rather involved and some of it maybe too deep/personal to share or I'm just not sure if the human race is ready to hear it (sorry about wording it that way).

Maybe I might blog about my life at some time but I often get worried how doing so might affect my future or those people I might have to meet with or work with in the future. So it's all kinda something I been thinking on.

Also a beta for a new version of a robot control program called RoboDance will be out next month so I'll be busy beta testing that as well. Or at least I hope to.

No word on the Chatbot assistant (would you believe I forgot what it's called already?)  Beta I signed up for but if I get on board, I'll let folks know how it goes!

Sorry to hear you have been unwell, I hope you feel better soon.

You have some nice developments there.  I am not sure either about putting out a blog of a deeply personal nature.  I think you have to ask yourself whether it will improve your life or cause you problems.  Are you planning to become a politician ?  If so then I say leave it

@Freddy - Yeah, I been very much debating this. It's funny. I had some rather profound experiences in a meditative state about wanting to connect to others that may understand or even share my beliefs. Then after that I met someone online that also has some beliefs that are compatible with my own. Maybe I was emanating some kind of energy that attracts like minds, I don't know. I admit I need to do this more.

@TrueAndroids - Interesting topic. Uncanny Valley syndrome doesn't fly with me for some reason. I equate it on the same level as prejudiceness against say a person of a different race, or color, or especially someone with a deformity or disability. Just the shallowness of the human race to love only that which is exactly like themselves and to shun what is different from themselves, even though the entity could be their equal intellectually and interactively (unlike apes and other animals which humans try to control due to the perceived lack of intellectual interactivity that is present between other humans). Seriously, it's just prejudice to me. When I see an android, I don't feel it's "creepy". I feel like it could even have it's own "soul" or "mind" or "consciousness" at one point if it doesn't already. Then again, my spiritual beliefs (like a few other religions and spiritual belief systems) includes animism and a form of reincarnation. So I guess that is why I don't really feel "freaked out" by these things.
