I found this site...

http://www.obsoletecomputermuseum.org/

The old ZX Spectrum and it's ilk got a lot of grief over the keyboard, but at the time it was by far the most portable computer available, maybe not as powerful as some but it beat the Osbourne portables that were like lugging round a corpse in a suitcase, er not that I know what thats like.

I've seen this site before only this time I bookmarked it. Really is a great trip down memory lane. Isn't there one online about video games as well? I had thought I saw one somewhere. Like the old Atari 2600s, etc. :)

There's quite a few sites for old computers and consoles. try a search for 'computer museum' that will bring up a lot of enthusiasts sites as well as university sites.? Often the enthusiasts sites seem a lot more enjoyable to me.

I discovered 'Rodent' a while back which harks back to old gaming, but with new stuff too, anyone offended by swearing should avoid it by the way as it is uncensored.

Here's a link to my old fav of 'Lords of Midnight' listed on their pages :

Way of the Rodent

You can get back to the home page from there, enjoy.

That article was really interesting to read. And I can relate to a lot of that, as I was like that hacking code on a TRS-80. Typing in programs from books and then finding ways to improve them. I learned to program that way. :) And then the hours of writing code on notebook paper, even at the supper table! LOL!
