Good one Freddy!

It sort of reminds me of The Missing Dollar scheme. It went as follows:

Three friends went to lunch one day.

The bill came to $30.
Each man gave the waiter $10
The owner told the waiter, "These men are friends of mine so take $5 off their bill."
The waiter was dishonest, kept $2 for himself and gave each man $1 telling them that his boss wanted to reduce their bill.

This means that each man paid $9 instead of $10

3 x 9 = 27

Add the $2 that the waiter kept and that equals $29

Where's the missing dollar? :detective:

Subtract the $2 that the waiter kept.

Sorry Lock, but you have posted this definition of yours in the Friday Funny section. Most people try to post something witty, humorous, puns, comic, head scratchers or other amusing tidbits here.

Even though I read it several times, I just cannot find anything humorous in or by it. Perhaps it belongs in a different section.

Please explain how or what part of the humor I seem to be missing, if you'd be so kind.

Thank you.

I thought it was funny because AI is known to one day take over Earth and have an explosion, and the first line seemed similar to saying "where goods i.e. the robots are produced" and "chiefly by machine". Then it says below: "historical" "an establishment" lol like on Earth, for "TRADERS" "*carrying *on *business in a foreign (to them) country (all our home land)".

I'm afraid I simply took the definition at face value. I saw no mention of A.I. nor robots nor mention of Earth but I sort of see where what you envisioned could have been somewhat humorous in your perspective, I suppose.

One really needed to be there with you in order to appreciate the comedic value of it I sense. ;)

Recently heard a rather humorous explanation by the famous, close up magician, Lennart Green.

He said, "If ten people are in a room and twelve people leave the room, then two people must come back before the room is empty!"  (mathematicians work with negative numbers...). ;)

Funny wordings found in Church Bulletins from various sources:

The Fasting and Prayer Conference includes meals.

Ladies, don't forget the rummage sale. It is a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping, bring your husband.

Next Thursday there will be tryouts for the choir. They need all the help they can get.

At the evening service tonight the service topic will be "What is Hell?". Come early and listen to choir practice.

Miss Charlene Mason sang, "I will not pass this way again" giving obvious pleasure to the congregation.

A bean supper will be held on Tuesday evening in the church hall. Music will follow.
