Back from Prague
« on: April 27, 2015, 12:36:49 am »
Some may have noticed that I have been away for a while - not that I'm am the type to be missed, but I usually spam-out the 'latest posts' section :D

I just thought I should justify my away time and say a few words for the amazing places I visited... I will of course, 'attempt' to be short.

Adventures are amazing - specially if you take time and share it with positive people. Travelling to Prague by land (bus) for me is insane - it is 2000 kilometers away from my town and took me 36 hours to get there. I usually get sick in the bus, but the excitement knocked off all the negative thoughts. I do not regret choosing the bus over a plane, despite a 2-way ticket costing only 60 euros. Thanks to those 36 hours on land I had the chance of passing Belgrade at night and prior to that had a chance to eat some barbecue from Leskovac (which is notorious, by the way).

Apart from spending 3 days in Prague I also went to visit Brno, Bratislava, Karlovy Vary and Wien - insanely amazing cities. Wien was more then expensive, but I do not regret a single cent.

There are so much experiences I would like to share, but it would be best for you to share your own. So if you ever get a chance to visit any of these cities, especially in the style of a field-trip with friends and buses - do not miss on it! Also, Wikipedia cannot replace a tourist guide so keep that in mind too!

Oh and, now that I am back I plan on returning to regular spamming channels and carpet-posts (long long posts) - after a short hibernation period of course :P

Here, barbeque is more of a "method" of cooking rather than a substance. We can and do practically barbeque anything and everything. Most items of note are Pork (pulled pork) loin / ribs, Beef / ribs and Chicken.

What type of meat was so enjoyable to be deemed Notorious as you've peaked my curiosity.

Glad you had a great time and feel free to post a photo or two if so inclined. A lot of us will never have the chance to see that part of the world.

Cheers! and yes, Welcome back!

Welcome back from what sounds a wonderful adventure. I had a friend who raved about Prague, she loved it there, I think some of the graveyards were her favourite places, I don't remember the name of them, but apparently it was like going back in time.

Thanks for the warming welcome-back guys!

Art, I suppose by barbecue I meant barbecued pork since the meat there is of very fine quality but where I was (restaurant in the middle of nowhere) all the types of meat served tasted amazing!

Fred, there are a lot of beautiful things out there - monuments, buildings and even graves. However, I do not recall visiting any graveyards or particular graves therefore I cannot discuss the beauty of the ones you spoke of.

Ranch, I do not believe I have ever had travelling to these countries as a goal in life however, if I ever wished for it and wrote it somewhere, it probably said: "Travel around the world in a suit of armor.".

And now, to finally get back to work! It's been a long month - protests, boycotts, this adventure and some other holidays joined up into a long vacation. I have also stalled on my programming and JARVIS project, but of course I am coming back with a fresh mind and goals bigger then ever!
