Title: Genera: AI operating system based on Lisp from 1980s
Post by: ivan.moony on June 01, 2022, 05:09:46 am
Genera is a commercial operating system and integrated development environment for Lisp machines created by Symbolics, initially targeted at software developers for artificial intelligence projects. It is written in Lisp, and its source code is exposed to end users, so they can naturally extend it.

Genera was developed from 1982 to 1998. It was repackaged in 2021 as Portable Genera. Its license status is currently uncertain, as its owner passed away around 2005.

I know why there isnt a singularity, because all developers end up carctasing it before they finish their theory!!!!
