The free demo version of Hal Windows is now being uploaded to the downloads page. The total size of this free demo version is about 100mb divided into 10 sections/steps. The download size of each step will be about 5 to 10 mb. All Steps, 1-10 are now ready for downloading.

Well this does look interesting, and clever too.

But unfortunately (for me) I can't use it because:

A . Im using Win7 64 bit

B . My Hal is not in the default folder, just incase I get a virus or windows dies so I have Hal on my E: drive.

Also its says its a Demo does this mean we will have limited functionality? or have a limited time to use it? or I will have to buy it at a later date? or does it mean its a beta?

Im not really sure what this means either:

Just might work on Windows7....

Haptek issues on some x64 systems has nothing to do with Hal Windows but we're still working on the problem anyway.

Hal Windows free demo means free no strings attached and all features enclosed are enabled...more features and plug-ins available...some free...some not...

Put Hal on your C;\ drive to test Hal Windows demo and then buy full version that runs with Hal on E:\ or anywhere else...Hal Windows full version will soon run as a mini-app... keep Hal Windows on your small portable usb flash drive and take it with you where ever you go...works on any system with usb port  and no install required!

Hal Windows online HTV On Demand will soon be ready at Hal Windows Central...be the first to upstream and downstream Haptek control in realtime with us while also watching Haptek music videos online...this web page requires that you have Haptek installed on your system:

We will also be hosting other people's Haptek music videos on our online music TV show...and will soon be streaming Haptek music videos straight into your Hal program running on your desktop!

Thanks for the info Amanda , it has made things clearer for me.

You probably know this but just in case

Haptek does not like multi core cpus in a 64 bit OS, if you set the affinity to use only one core it seems to work just fine.
