Happy Thanksgiving!
« on: November 25, 2010, 03:56:56 pm »

My broadband connection usually runs perfectly from Midnight to Midday (in Europe).

And then, it often becomes ridiculous.

Today the speed is amazing. American computers are sleeping.  8)

A truly great Thanksgiving dinner.
I think Sandee gained a little weight.

Well, for the record, Turkeys can also FLY!!

If you've ever hunted them in the woods on a cold, crisp, early morning...

you're walking along as quiet as you can, trying not to crunch the fallen
leaves or small twigs too loudly when suddenly...

GOBBLE...FLAP...FLAP...Leaves flying around the ground as this huge
bird takes off on a low trajectory almost clipping nearby trees, scaring
the hell out of you! Being so close to the trees you really can't get off a
shot. But the thrill of the hunt and your reputation as the hunter-gatherer,
the provider will NOT be tarnished.

You cleverly stow you gun in your vehicle, drive to the nearest store and
purchase a nice 20 pound bird. You rip the package off of it before you go
inside your house then proudly proclaim...Look what I got today while
hunting.

The wife looks lovingly at you while placing the turkey in the sink.
"You shot this bird?", she asks

"I told you I got it while hunting, didn't I?", he replied.

"Oh...well it was very thoughtful of you to put it's neck inside it body, tie it's
legs together with this little plastic thing and the tiny Pop-up temperature
timer was a nice added bonus!!"

- DOH !!
