No...it's not referring to a robot, but rather an assisted "revision". Take a look:

Interesting. It did remind me of the armor that used to be used way way back before any of us were even thought of. It of course is much more high tech.
So sue me

"We took body armor back to the drawing board..."
Or rather, you watched a few Sci-Fis?

So, now the soldier trades off a backpack containing supplies (water, ammo, bombs, food and whatever) for backpack full of lithium batteries and possibly a compressor?

I guess I am saying that untill we have superbatteries or pocket reactors we are not making any exoskeletons...

No...I think they're holding out on releasing the secret of "Wireless Battery Charging", similar to microwave transmission towers that are dotting our landscape. These future towers will allow for a full charge in a very short order and the battery carrying unit can simply "aim" toward these towers and the charge will be directed. The future or rechargable batteries will be vastly different and take on a new meaning, to a degree.

(oh yeah...I just made up the preceding paragraph) ;) or at least that's what they told me to say... ^-^

I have considered that idea previously - not needing a big battery, just a quick recharge, capacitor-like battery which would constantly feed off a wireless energy transmission (really, it can be any energy - even gamma-rays), possibly coming from an array of satellites however there is a problem - the area around would be affected as well, and this means a lot of the surrounding devices incorporating EM waves in any way could be seriously damaged, this includes all electrical appliances.

So, they still have to figure out a better battery - after all, you can't charge an interstellar vessel with an earth-bound satellite array.
