I know I'm a little schizophrenic because of Second Life, but now I fear to become paranoid too.

For one week, I can notice a huge strange traffic on my site (yes, "huge" means 4 or 5 times a day), from different Chinese cities. What does it mean? Please tell me if you have that event on your site. Are they preparing an attack? I'm afraid...

To our friends from China who read this post, you can be sure I LOVE CHINA!!

I don't think it is anything to worry about....I hope.  Sometimes we get a lot of hits from China as well.

My best guess is that it is a Search Engine spidering links, much the same kind of thing happens when the Google bots visit a site too.

I have a theory:

China is big, very big and it is said that they block sites from the Chinese public, if your sites gets hits from China then it seems that its not being blocked.

A Chinese person says wow look a site I found that I can view, the words gets around and suddenly you have lots of hits to your site.

It just a theory but I would take it as a compliment rather then anything to worry about.

There is a chance that they read this forum because there is a link on this page to the site. If they are like most web site owners they will track all visitors, but you probably know that.
