If I had....

Ok folks.

If you had an AI code library what would it include?

Geek.

Well, I already have an AI code library...   8)
But there are still plenty of things I'd like to include. Mostly 'finish' stuff. Like some more visual pattern recognition and recording algorithms, some more chatbot topics (currently cleaning up older stuff), I'm thinking about using the GPU to speed up some things, there are still lots of other small improvements I'd like to make all over the place. Oh, and one day I'd really like to put it in some sort of robot.

It would include a Filter File, to help weed out foul, slang, jibberish words and sentences. Basically everything from the Foul Four letter words to a cat accidentally running across your keyboard! (yeah I know...but you asked) ;)

Better voice understanding, visual ability to recognize, organize and categorize objects / faces, etc.

More updated database of worldly and current / local data and a decent pattern anticipation algorithm to find best suited responses.

Not a huge DB but a way to access it more quickly and precisely.

The ability to perform some abstract thinking on its own and a (botmaster defined ability) limiting its decision making. (Do what you want...as long as I approve). ;)

Just a few for the wishlist.... ^-^

Interestingly, I made just that with a bunch of pattern definitions for a kaggle competition (it picked up about 78% and could have done better if I had included the 'are you high' type of things).

Good question.  I think I would like some visual stuff in there too, the ability to recognise the user from a web cam or something, then switch to knowledge of that person so it's a personal experience.  So some kind of longer term memory system.

I'm currently playing with a AIML based library, which is fine as a basic bot and it will recall things during the conversation, but not hold onto them.  I may have to go into the source and put it in myself.

That is one of my biggest concerns too Freddy along with the lack to form custom thoughts / sentences or self-learn.

Now we'll hear from the purists how this can be done yet we never seem to see one in action anywhere. Just saying....

I would like my library to include the ability to auto recognize who it is talking to via voice and/or face recognition. I would also like a library to include the ability to join in and converse with 2 or people having a conversation. I like Arts Idea quoted below.
