Since a great deal of AI in and of itself often relates to applications in the
field of Robotics, would it be possible to set up a Robotics section?

You could even have 'sub sections like:
Home made or Experimental Robots
Programming / challenges
What's New in Robotics

That's a great idea Art.  We do have a lot of robotics videos which actually outnumber the AI ones.  We also get posts concerning robotics so I am pleased to add a robotics section to the forum.

So taking your examples I will implement this :

Robotics
     - General
     - Home Made (meaning all hands on stuff)
     - Challenges (anything like programming, physical problems, engineering etc)
     - News

Don't consider that as cut in stone - let me know if you think it's okay or what ammendments are needed.
