Here is some of the stuff NASA has been working on and I am confident it will be seen in the private sector soon enough ( If you can embed fiber optics in the structure and never hand assemble and put them in the way then it is an advancement IMO).

A lot of technology are the foundation of nuclear technology. Including scanners for treaty diseases of the cancer. And in numerous terms of studies.
