Title: Member Channels
Post by: Freddy on April 26, 2017, 07:20:24 am
Since a lot of you are like me and have accounts all over the web, I thought it would be a good idea to start a topic where we can add our links.

I have a few user names and I am trying to make them a little more organised. In gaming I tend to use the name Kaywulf these days and for my work I usually use Widdershins - these may cross-talk !

My YouTube Channel (avatar work and other stuff) : Widdershins YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCh4YGSrRmAi4R6haWct7Duw)
Discord Chat Channel : Widdershins Chat Channel Invite (https://discord.gg/rwWbzpW)

The Discord one I only just joined but am really enjoying the chat system they have. I decided to try it as I am following a couple of games that I want to keep up with. The link I posted is an invite, so if you want to get in touch with me I will try to hang out there. Once registered (simple) you can use it in a browser or download a client.

Would like to see what everyone else has going on :)

Since you insist.  :)

I have a website with a beginners tutorial on Building A FreeBSD Desktop From Scratch (http://trihexagonal.org/) that has been featured on freebsdnews.com in two different articles. Once in an article linking to my post using the name Siseneg, and their article was linked to the US and Arabic Facebook pages of bsdmag.org.  The second time in an article linking to my post in the FreeBSD forums as Trihexagonal, as I am known in that community.

I also have screenshots of different Desktop Environments, Window Managers and Operating Systems including my own courtesy of FreeBSD forum members, and 60 or so wallpapers of different varieties. some of which I made.

Edit: Fix my link.

Sorry the closest thing you will get to links is my website and its name beyond that I don't let people know much about me. I don't even use my real add on the  website. I ain't stupid. You don't become a democrat and list your john handcock. You can't even find me in the directories I wiped them off a long time ago.

Very very few people know who I really am.

You don't become a democrat and list your john handcock. You can't even find me in the directories I wiped them off a long time ago.

But you do. There and elsewhere, and you gave it up here. I'm looking at them both right now.

I'm also looking at your picture, name, home address, work address, phone number, education, a place you are listed as owning, a slightly different username, age and gender. It didn't cost me a penny and only took about 1 minute. It's no big secret how to do it and no special skills were needed to do it.

Not to cross post but since it's on topic and my whole point, I never said anything about you threatening someone in the ethics thread. My point, as a friend, was you don't really know who you're talking to online or what they're capable of and urged you to exercise wisdom, caution, courtesy and anonymity when dealing with strangers in a hostile environment. I'm your friend.

When I talk in wordy circles like I'm off-topic and it may seem hard to understand where I'm going, it's probably in an attempt for the desired person to pick up on what I'm saying without having to come right out and say it. It's an evasive form of speech formally known as Circumlocution and my use of it not always effective. My technique must need polish.

Haha couldn't help it. Was too funny. Also really like the song and original dance moves.
