Remember that old song, Mr. Sandman (by the Chordettes I think)...anyhow...here's something of a different nature BUT it does have sand or uses sand but in a different manner...Alright...just pay attention but watch out for the sandman... This is cool!!

Nice, makes me think of Mandalas.

When I was working at a gallery in London we had these monks there, Tibetan I think, and they spent days making these intricate designs on big raised platforms, something a little bigger than what we saw in that video. They would coax grains of coloured sand into position to make amazing patterns and then when they had finished one they swept it all up and deposited it in the River Thames as part of a ritual. Very cool thing to see.
