Will psychiatric therapy bots ever supplant the real thing?
Today's post is a transcript from my talk at the Chatbots 3.3 Conference at Seed Philadelphia in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, March 23, 2013, titled Feelbetter: Bringing a Psychiatrist Chatbot to Life.

I have been experimenting with the development of a therapy bot in collaboration with computer scientist and three-time Loebner Prize winner Dr. Richard Wallace. The Loebner Prize in Artificial Intelligence is an award for the most human-like computer.

Within the following text I have included a link to my therapy bot, Feelbetter, which although somewhat primitive will give you a sense of how a robot can respond as a live therapist might, as it recognizes what you, the person seeking help, say to it.

Freddy, thank you very much. It there's a lot of news today. The chatbot Home are very intuitive. But I would find the subject, am the new system, Facebook is an analytical Robot I sought the subject on this topic, it is a protection for children, I find it very well, and I would found a theme presentation.
