Creatures CSF 2007
« on: September 11, 2007, 05:18:55 pm »
The start of this month saw the beginning of the fourth Creatures Community Spirit Festival (2007).  Having started on the 2nd September, this years festival is a whole month long.

As previously, there is a new site dedicated to the festival, which can be found here:

http://www.creatures.org.uk/ccsf2007/

"The festival is a month long celebration of the artifical life series 'Creatures' and new addons, adoptions and events this year so do keep checking back" - Don

Ahhh the good ol little furry things. Always fascinated me but could never really get into it myself.

Still a great thing though, and obviously has a huge worldwide following. Also long ago friend of our dear Freddy's too I believe.

Long may their little virtual lives continue :)

Yes it has a pretty large following and even gets used in education as was pointed out by KnyteTrypper one time - apparently it's a lot easier to maintain than an Ant Farm or a pet hamster.  Strangely our pet hamster at school was named Freddy.  :o

I had some fun with it, but it's probably more suitable for a younger audience.

And yup, one of my old college friends helped with the production of the Creatures series and also had a hand in Docking Station.

The festival seems to have shifted it's start date to later in September.  Anyhows, the end date is now October 20th, so still some time to go...
