According to this New York Times Article, Stanford University will be offering a course on Artificial Intelligence in the fall. And the best part is that it's FREE!!! To sign up, you can go to this page to sign up to get course details when they come available. All that's needed right now is your name and email address, so all you seem to be signing up for is a mailing list, but at least it's a start. Be warned, though, over 71,000 people have signed up so far (myself included).

That's very nice. Wished I had the time. ...or maybe I just enjoy reinventing wheels too much in my project.

I find it quite interesting how many people who has signed up so far. A lot of interest out there, yet the online community seems rather small for these sort of things. For NLP based A.I, all I know is this forum and chatborg.org and both are quite small. The industry seems to be more focused on the next generation search engines (which I have my doubts will really work as well as some predict) and simple NLP engines for handling online customer services. A bit surprising. Before I started to look around myself, I expected 10's of thousands of people being into this with online presence.
