I have used a lot of text editors in my time from Notepad, Wordpad, Crimson Editor (which has been my "go-to" editor for several years. Recently, after a search, I found a few that I tried but really didn't care for. That is, until I found, Notepad++

It is a really great Text Editor and has a LOT of pretty cool features without a lot of bloat. It is far more customizable than those I already tried. It does line numbers, wordcount, wordwrap, open tabs, separate open windows, a multitude of colors and styles and a huge collection of Plug-ins that can easily additional features with a click like TTS or Compare.
Yes, It can speak aloud your text selection or entire article. It can compare two similar files for differences between them and so much more. There is an online community and an active listing of Plugins although a lot come with Notepad++. So much to add that I'll simply say, I love it!!

Aha! Notepad++! My loveliest hero.

Thanks to its notable extreme ease of use, charming customization, lots of language syntax highlight, partial intellisense, autocomplete, and many other features that I didn't come into use.
I've used this software for editing various documents during my lifetime like normal Txt, GML, HTML, AutoIt, Autohotkey, Javascirpt, XML, Batch, C#, C, CSS, Python, INI, JSON, and YAML. Why, of course it is not limited to only those I've mentioned! We can even define and customize our own language style and highlight!

I tried finding alternatives to notepad++, but it eventually come to my realization; Nothing could possibly compete notepad++ -- Or it's just my personal taste.

Nonetheless, it's a great software for editing various documents with ease!

Yup it's my weapon of choice too, been using it for years now. It's the best one I have come across too.
