The Celluloid Sage

A friend of mine and an old member here has a new site up about movies. Older members will recall Maviarab and this is his new venture.

Lots of unusual films to read about here :

A lot of them seem to be strange and obscure filmage of years gone by. It is interesting and certainly nice to know that our long, lost friend, Mav, has finally come up for air. (didn't know he could hold his breath that long). Good job!

Oh I'm still alive, but been far too busy with life.  That starting to change now thankfully (though a house move is very very imminent, next couple of weeks lol).

As for the site, there will be a lot of old films, and some very obscure stuff on there as well as newer titles and latest releases when got organized.  Unfortunately right now until moved, most reviews will be digitally based as my thousand plus dvd/Blu-ray collection is pretty much all boxed up now.  As for what you get and when, with so many films to get through (will be re-watching everything again as there's a lot my partner has not seen), it's a case of deciding what to watch/review and when.  So there most likely always be an interesting mix, rather than a batch of the same genre.

Also on Facebook too, might be easier to check us there for updates rather than constantly visiting the site.  Any feedback is always welcome :)

Anyway, just thought I'd pop in and say hi, let you know I'm still alive and slowly getting life sorted and to say thanks to Freddy for the mention :)
