Perhaps but like so many Sci-Fi series, videos, movies, etc., they actually only appeal to a rather small demographic...not at all as large as some of would think.

Caprica, was a wonderful series as was Defiance, Terra Nova, Warehouse 13 and Eureka, to mention a few. Sadly, when I mentioned some of these to a rather large number of people at work, only a few said they either watched some of them or had heard of some of them.

Face it, we are somewhat of a niche group of enthusiasts and I dare say the same would go for A.I., robotics and chatbots, with regard to knowledge and a marked interest.
