Yes the service has been better with the Canadian server than it was with one based in the UK.  I think this is more down to the fact that our current host is a lot better at what they do and do not over-subscribe their servers.  You could probably find a good host in the UK still if you know where to look.  Tracking down a good host is quite difficult I found, but I have been pleased with Host Papa.

I don't know where we stand regarding any rules to be honest.  I would have thought that as the company itself is basing itself in the UK (they have various branches worldwide) we would be subject to UK rules.  But it's a good question, maybe we can find out.  I don't think there is anything we do here that would really break any rules in Canada or the UK, we're a clean site really.
