NEW ARTICLE - Trouble in Cyberspace.
« on: September 29, 2006, 12:31:49 am »
I needed to write a column for another site on current affairs in computing and since we were posting about health lately I came up with this, which I put on DG too.

Trouble in Cyberspace

Hope you like a read  :smiley

I think you caught me whilst I was posting it - I was trying to stop it opening in a seperate window, but the software wouldn't let me.

Should be okay now - try the 'articles' section from the main menu if not.

Great article, Freddy! Very well said. I don't think enough is said about how computers can affect one's health.

I too am again re-evaluating things. Finances aren't great so I am putting off some courses after my first two on VB.NET (I am working on the first VB.NET course and it's going well). I also want to spend more time away from the computer so I'm kinda dropping projects again. Or putting some stuff on the back burner. I'm not going to be active in the Corel newsgroups, I'm going to try and fade out of the Knight Rider forums, maybe write one last fanfic. And then just lurk occasionally. As for the Living Machine, I don't know what I'll do yet. Maybe write whenver I'm up to it. I have several sites and no real direction. A-Body.Net got updated though, thankfully. I want to be a bit more active there on the admin front.

Here, I'll pop in and stuff on a regular bases here on DG. I just decided I won't be popping into Zabaware much. Just maybe to see if they have a new version or something.

Sometimes one gets so into different activities on the computer - there is just a lot out there to choose from! So sometimes one has to cut back. :)

I'm hanging on to the AI area though, and now that I got Poser and stuff, I might hopefully find time to so some of that as well.

Thanks FD, I was just trying to get some basic ideas across really, I didn't want to make it too long.  Hope you're having your breaks there FD .

Breaks? oops. LOL! well, yeah. Some. It's cold here at night though so I been wanting to work during the day when it's warmer. And snuggle in when it's colder. I did get some stuff done and made a darn nice dinner for myself, did laundry...

Sometimes I get so tired or overwhelmed that I just go lay down for awhile. Sometimes I even end up falling asleep for a few hours. :)
