I always get this google ad across the bottom post on a page.
No one else mentions it,   is it just me?
It don't have an "corner x" to close it.
Any ideas how to get rid of it??

I'm not sure about anyone else, but I don't see it because I use a Firefox plugin that removes most ads from the pages I visit. :)

Yep you could use an ad blocker. It's there to help pay for hosting costs, domain names etc and keep this site alive.

Personally, I'd rather make a donation than click on an add. I buy too much online as it is.

I got your email, Duskrider. Loved the image. You should post it here.

My thanks, as well, for letting me know about the problem with my contact page. I've fixed the problem. I've also updated the security function for the contact page. A while back, some rather evil individuals were using the contact page to send me spam messages, so I took steps. I noted both their IP and email address, added them to a database, and coded the response portion of the page to inform the offenders that their actions were unwelcome. Now, however, instead of simply warning them, the page redirects their browsers to what has to be the most annoying website I've ever seen, at http:// worldsmostannoying.blogspot.com (I "broke" the link on purpose. If you wish to visit it, make sure it's in a new window. Trust me, you'll see why) - Bad people seem to bring out my more whimsically viscous side. :)

Um... Freddy? Thanks for the link, but while that is admittedly annoying, it's not nearly vicious enough to suit my needs. :)

~Slot Machine Update~

The "upgraded" version of the slot machine was getting too big, so I put it in it's own directory. You can access it at http://www.geekcavecreations.com/slots

Changelog:

~Changed reel size from 4 slots each to 18
~Changed the top-glass, reel and payout images to a more whimsical theme.
~Changed the jackpot sound to match the theme.
~Modified functionality of the Spin and Mute buttons to kill any currently playing sound

And before anyone yells "copyright infringement", I already did(yell "Copyright infringement", that is). It's a non-commercial game, for entertainment purposes. And no hamsters were forced into a life of porn in the game's creation. I take full responsibility for it's look and feel, yada yada yada.

Looking good, the smurfs are a nice touch :)

Sorry that website was not vicious enough - I will try harder ;)

GCC,

I know someone with a Smurf site.   Do you want me to point him here ?  He might like to include it on his site...

By the look of it I reckon he could use it in an iFrame.

I have no troubles with that. Be my guest. :) But please also provide him with a link to my main site, as well, if you would.

Sure thing.  If it would work in an iFrame maybe put a link to your site on that page ?  What do you think would be the best way to go about it ?  Or I guess set it up on his site with a link so you are not tied to anything ?

Actually, the slot machine has a link already, on my "Fun & Games" page. I have a few other pages there, both games and joke pages, as well. I'll go ahead and insert a link into the slot machine's page, linking to my main page, though. :)

With my Mother's new job, her work schedule has changed, and it's been hard for me to keep track of what my days off are (when she works, I take care of Grandma). So I've created a calendar page that allows her to input her schedule when she gets it, and allows me to see at a glance when I'm off. It's handy enough that I decided to show it off. Bear in mind, however, that there's no user level security, so anyone can modify the information stored, and there's no profanity filter, so anyone childish enough can post some pretty "adult" words. Since it uses flat files for storage, there's no worries about SQL injections, however.
Anyway, you can see the calendar at http://www.geekcavecreations.com/calendar/.

By the way, feel free to edit any info there, or even add your own. Just remember that you should not put anything there that you wouldn't want your Grandma to read. Or, better yet, mine! :D
