Thanks everyone for the kind words, I'm glad you liked the photos ;D

Yes Art, all digital, so much simpler and I can take as many as I like.

It's this one...

It's cheaper now than when I bought it around two years ago.  I am still working out how to use some features !

Loving the new viewing script too, I wondered how you did that, just so you know its works in IE8 and firefox, I tested it in both.

Yes it's cool isn't it.  If you want it then you can find it here....  It's called 'Highslide Image Viewer'.  Thanks for testing it in other browsers, good to know it works :)

No problem.  Yeah, I had to do some of it manually too.

Let me know if you need any help - one thing you might need to add to your custom theme is the Display.template.php - I copied it across from the default theme and edited it then dropped it into my custom theme folder.

Recently got a new mobile phone, mid range thing, and have made a set of talking sounds, using a text to speech engine, quite cool.

Starting up phone
Searching for network signal
Network found and connected
Ring Ring, you have a phone call
Bing Bong new text message

You get the idea  8)

I don't use mobiles much but yep I get what you mean...

My course plan hasn't exactly worked out.  I left it for a few days there, but tomorrow I will be back on it.

Nearing the end now.  All about internet protocols and different types of server now.

So many acronyms to learn it gives me a headache  ???

The snow here has melted mostly.  We had perma snow for a while there as the temperature didn't go above freezing for over a week.  Now it's down to -1 C as I write, so another cold night.   God bless the people that invented central heating.

The latest seasonal family project is nearing completion, so I figured that I would update everyone on what's going on.

http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=39092&id=100000282313634&l=691aca1ab2

If you're also a facebook user, feel free to "friend" me. :)

I'm planning on putting together a page on my website, just like I did for last year's Christmas Village, but that's still a few days off. I'll post a link as soon as I get it done. And I promise that this one won't be as visually annoying as the last one. :)

Amazing stuff Dave  :)  Looking forward to seeing the finished project.

I was also amazed that the old version took 1000 Watts !  Sounds like you trimmed that down to size now though.

With all of the "specialty" buildings (many have fiber-optics and drive motors for the internal motion displays, or other such power-intensive features), there is still a need for some external power, and with the addition of 12 more buildings (Mom went overboard this year), the overall power requirements began to exceed the capabilities of the power supply that I had built, so I cheated a bit. I had an old 500 watt PC power supply hanging about, so I modified it to run constantly, and tapped into it's 12 volt circuit to run the lighting. One nice advantage to this is that the PS not only supplies 12 volts, it also supplies 5 volts, as well, which will run most of the "specialty" buildings, too, that require 4.5 volts. Next year, there will be a completely different layout, with not only the 12 volt runs for the lights, but also a couple of 5 volt runs for the specialty buildings, as well. ;D

When everything goes smoothly, and I get the help I need {when} I need it, it takes roughly 1-2 weeks to complete everything. This year, however, with the lighting conversion, and with my Brother's new job taking him out of the house for extended periods of time at random intervals, it's taken a little longer to get everything done. I'm hoping to have it all completed by today or tomorrow, but we'll see. :)
