I have always been impressed by the intelligence of Corvids , but that was amazing.

Kinda makes 'The Birds' by Alfred Hitchcock a bit mute though. They would have just picked the locks on the door, or dropped small stones down the chimney until the occupants burst out the doors lol.

It's this kind of thing that spurs my AGI research on... even our most powerful computers would struggle with this kind of task, yet a bird ca do it (not to belittle their brains)... kinda makes you think where missing something important.  :-\

It understands it's environment, knows there is a puzzle to crack then works out a solution to the puzzle.

All that, yet not one word has been uttered to it. Maybe language isn't as important as intelligence but all the time we try to make Ai that can understand and reply to the written word. Interesting  :detective:

Perhaps were anthropomorphizing too much.  We look at the whole puzzle from a human point of view.  Perhaps there is another way of viewing the sequence/ problem/ solution but we just can’t see it because were human.

On a side note… language is a product / construct of intelligence.  Many species show intelligence without the use of language (too the best of our knowledge).  :P

An oldie... but a goodie...
