CMU Sphinx - TTS/STT software
« on: July 07, 2016, 04:32:32 pm »
Hey just found this - was looking for free tools that can do streaming speech to text and text to speech.  It's an open source project from Carnegie Mellon University.  I have zero experience in using tts/stt software - looks like many of you already use something (?).  But this looks really promising - it's very current, and there is an example showing it running on raspberry pi 2 and 3 for comparisons.  But it's Java so can run on any platform I guess.
