chatbots.org forum patch
« on: August 26, 2020, 03:42:33 pm »
The chatbots.org forum has become difficult to navigate due to a screen-filling popup on every page. I have made a simple addon that you can install on your browser to remove the popup:

forum popup hider for Chrome

forum popup hider for Firefox

Unfortunately, that pop up has killed the site. Nobody visits any more. I think there have been less than 10 posts this year.

True. I'm not sure the owners of the site even realise that it shows up repeatedly, or if they are only keeping the forum online to cash in on ingoing links, but I'm not invested enough to ask them.

I noticed it occasionally still showed up when pages weren't loading from cache.
Edit: fixed in version 1.0.3
