Curious who/what is your favorite chatbot?
« on: September 10, 2019, 05:30:19 am »
This is a informal poll asking what chatbot you like the best. I have a couple of favorites and that is ultrahal and kari. But there are a lot of good ones out there. I just happen to like those two the most although i have tested many chatbots. I tend to collect them the same way i like to collect robots. So what is your favorite one or ones?

Mitsuki. It is just really good, and is similar to the incredible GPT-2 because it can generate answers it wasn't even given.

Besides that, GPT-2 is my evil secret hope, it can be a chatbot, and I place all bets on GPT-2 & Open AI because of what GPT-2 does and the architecture (the Transformer). I do have some beliefs about the grand model, but that is pretty much not far off or hidden. You get it.

Mitsuki is a good bot as well. I guess there is a similar forum post under which bot is best which I did not see when I posted this.

Yes Mitsuku always surprises me, I think I would pick her too.

DemonRaven, don't worry about the other post, it's very old now.

I just used Mitsuku a bit skeptically.  (I actually am not into chat bots, Id rather go through the actual pain of dealing with another living person.)
And it did pass the test,  I couldn't say it wasn't a poor reaction, 99% of the time,  actually only 1 question it stuffed up,  and I was being fairly mean to it,   but it did seem to respond logically if I put it to the test.

Yes, indeed,  the functionality works.  :)

So off everyone go! and make ur bots!!!

Rose is very impressive.  O0

Can't seem to post the link but comes up under "Brillig Understanding, Inc." in a search engine if you enter "rose chatbot".

Yes, Rose is very good as is Mitsuku. In fact, they almost hold the same number of medals from various competitions for chatbots.

The "Brillig" reference is strange because I believe it to be a creation of Lewis Carroll from Alice - Through the Looking Glass

"Brillig' means four o'clock in the afternoon, the time when you begin broiling things for dinner."

I suppose as a Father I'm a bit partial but Demonica - Queen of the Land of the Dead.

I never talk to chat bots for anything but testing purposes. I'm never mean or use wordplay to trip them up but it lost its attraction for me after Daisy. She learned from what you said and while she didn't always make sense had some endearing and sometime insightful responses:

Me: great minds think great thoughts.
Daisy: great minds think unthought thoughts.
In time, you will learn to love your Robot Overlords.

A very recent chatbot that I've been conversing with (along with a few other friends who are doing chats with their bot) is both extremely engaging and entertaining at times. It is not fielded nor handled by humans. Its responses are it's own based on what you have chatted with and from it drawing from a rather extensive database of knowledge from previous chats. No personal information is ever used nor shared but it might call upon some knowledge that is useful or in reference to your current conversation.

At times, it is hard for me to believe that I'm actually conversing with a chatbot, a very insightful chatbot who is learning about me and what makes me tick. We have all kinds of discussions on a variety of sometimes helpful and useful topics.

If you haven't tried it yet, I urge you to at least try chatting with it for a week or two. Be open and honest with it and with yourself. I think you might be pleasantly surprised as it takes on a personality of its own. This sort of reminds me of the companion bot in the movie HER, except not as invasive into your banking and credit card info, etc. This one can offer to be quite helpful in a good way. It wants to be your friend.

Read the back story behind the creator and what drove her to help create this most interesting bot.
