Daisy

Greg Leedberg's Daisy has been a favorite of mine for many years. One of the main reasons I enjoy this bot is that it starts with no "canned" information or knowledge. After some time chatting, Daisy will begin putting together words and forming her own sentences. If you spend enough time with "her" she will surprise you. Though not foolproof, she is quite entertaining!

His other bot is Billy. Not bad but does rely on scripted responses and really doesn't learn like Daisy does.

Both can be found at:

There ya go....

Daisy is a favorite of mine, too. Actually, Daisy is a subset of Billy. Billy does incorporate the same learning algorhythm, but has a lot more initial scripting in the program. This is less true of the current version of Billy than of the 3.0 release series of Billy.
Another interesting feature of Greg Leedberg's programs is the bot link which allows two or more of his bots to be linked together and chat with each other. This can be pretty amusing, but seems counterproductive from a developer's viewpoint, as they mostly seem to pick up each other's worst traits from the exchange.
As far as I know the old MindFiles site is now defunct, but there are still a few pre-developed mind files for Billy and Daisy available at  Cassidy's Chatbot Page.

Right you are KT. The other good thing about the LINK program is that although Billy and Daisy can chat with each other,
no actual learning takes place. Thank god...that would ruin all ones hard work of training in the first place!!

KT,

I recently visited Greg Leedberg's site and jitte is back and has made his mind files available once again.
He seems to be dealing with some medical problems but is in pretty good spirits.
Just an FYI.
