Does anyone know if any of the 3D art programs for creating faces and full body characters are capable of creating anthromorphic characters ?

I would like to try to create an anime style catgirl type character (catlike facial features, humanlike body with fur instead of skin, etc.) . . and would like to be able to have facial expressions and body movements linkable to the AI engine.? Something along the lines of what Desktopmates has done with their heads and fullbody characters.

So far I have looked at Poser, Daz3D, and People Putty . . . I am very unimpressed by People Putty . . all the heads I have seen done with People Putty look more like the graphics of the late 80's/early 90's.

Any help or information anyone could give me would be greatly appreciated.

People have taken a while to get used to Haptek and it's not as finished a render as things like Poser because it simply can't do that as a live render - all things like shadow and light processing that give poser renders the realalistic look take loads of processing - even so some people have made a few nice realistic heads.  Some can be found in the download section.  Happy hunting   :smiley

We'll have to see what Haptek Generation 5 can do too, if there is one planned.
