The domain name "chatbots.org" will expire in a few days :

and the webmaster seems not to receive his emails

I know, there are two weeks left for the webmaster to renew the domain, but I'm afraid that chatbot.org will be gone soon. 12 years of discussions, reflexions, news, memories of famous people (a few died) will be lost. I would find that sad.

Yes we had some good times there. I daresay it's a fairly valuable domain name and it is unlikely to become available, but we should keep an eye on it. Is anyone aware of any other good places for AI hobbyists to hang out?

Yes, the site died when Erwin left and the constant pop up window made the site unusuable. Such a shame, as the OGs of the chatbot world used to hang out there a lot.

If there is material on the forum you don't want to lose, you could try to archive it before the site goes offline.
