The link below will take you to a video demo of the Milo project... The work that has been done on it is very very impressive, but what's really amazing is the quality of real-time 3d animation. What kind of engine is that? I have seen similar scenes but only in pre-rendered video. The rest is nothing new.... the system can interprent the user's input and response with pre-recorded responses (the boy's voice is human not TTS). It seems that the work the various NLU groups have been doing all these years is finding its way into actual products. I can not say the same for NLG (natural language generation). Apart from CyC is there anything else out there?

Yeah that's looking pretty impressive isn't it.  I was wondering if it was using TTS or not.  It sounded too good to be TTS... as for the graphics then yes they look nice.  Wonder how long we will have to wait to see this technology in the shops.
