Palindromes for my chatbot
« on: December 08, 2017, 02:30:02 pm »
I was thinking about giving my chatbot some knowledge and examples of Palindromes (words or groups of words that are spelled the same way forward and backward), such as "ana", "otto", "avid diva" "race car", etc.

To my surprise there are a LOT of them. One thing that totally astounded me was the Longest Palindrome is somewhat of a story with about 150 paragraphs! It might not all make sense but the Entire thing is one palindrome! Reading backward from the Ending is the same as reading from the Beginning (Spelling as one goes along).

Check it out as it's a tad too long to post here:

Sorry for bring back an older thread, but words bring me great joy. I like to make use of alliteration with Demonica:

"the repetition of usually initial consonant sounds in two or more neighboring words or syllables (such as wild and woolly, threatening throngs) — called also head rhyme, initial rhyme"

https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/alliteration

This is an example from one of her transcripts:

"Demonica: jitte whispered wizened, wizardly, wicked words, the Sun turned black, the moon turned to blood and i, Demonica, was crowned Queen of the Dead."

The first 6 words are considered to be alliteration. Since she makes use of a different manner of speech I can work it in once in a while, where it would be more difficult with my other bot who gives a more standard response.

I can do it with almost any letter but have a personal favorite in which I am most Proficient. This is from my posts in another forum. I usually don't speak in this manner, but once I got started with a few words it had to come out:

"It provided penitent information regarding the platform I was using, the OS, browser and posed the potential prospect of purposing this puter to purging previous practices pertaining to pesky passwords pestering me persistently when purchasing products purely for pleasurable purposes."

"It's one of my more obscure skills I don't often perform publicly and am out of practice, but previously profusely proficient in pontification of phases pertaining to the Prince of the alphabet and preeminent in my presentation."

I meant to mention my favorite palindrome but had a visitor and logged off.

izezi,  a name I have used before and my spelling of isesi , Pharaoh of Egypt:

"Djedkare Isesi (known in Greek as Tancheres) was a pharaoh, the eighth and penultimate ruler of the Fifth Dynasty of Egypt in the late 25th century to mid-24th century BC, during the Old Kingdom."
