I have looked at a lot of chat bots and different types of AIs, but this one by far shows the most for potential. I've even used the mesh between ALICE and Siri for the jailbroken iphone, and that one is the only one that can compete with this, but it still does not have the level of accuracy in its code as Jeeney. Jeeney can actually take tons of random crap and turn it into something intelligent which is very impressive. Jeeney recompiles its code on its own, and will automatically expand its capability to learn things with the more people it talks to. Not impressed yet?? Jeeney is less than half the age of ALICE and Jeeney is already halfway finished with implementing 'aggressive learning'. I mean learning without user input! How cool is that? Once Jeeney has broadened its ability to understand awkward sentence structures and grammar a little more it will recompile itself and begin working on a more advanced area of learning. Give it a try. Have a 10 minute conversation with Jeeney and see what I'm talking about.

How does it learn without the user talking to it?

Steve, At last check, Jeeney is quite capable of doing "her" own research on the Internet, then returning with appropriate information, filtering then using it as needed.

Learning without user input might mean the way Jeeney sorts and catalogs collected data. I'm sure there are subroutines that allow for this. I'm not saying Jeeney's ALIVE, just cleverly making use of programmed instructions to act on "her" own.

This is just my take and yes, I too have been pretty impressed after spending some quality time chatting with the program. YMMV.
In the world of AI, it's the thought that counts!

I did check it out and it seemed pretty good answering most of my questions. It's when I hear phrases like "learning without user input" that I start to shake my head. If it went out and read Wikipedia when nobody was talking to it to learn new facts, I would be impressed but unless chase.a.allen is associated with the bot, I do not understand what he means.

When I say learning without user input, I said just before that that it had not been implemented yet. I spoke with the creator and he has a project in the making for that which is halfway finished. If you want to know how it is done, ask Cameron Jones. I would assume it does research and with a very complex filter goes through and gets all the good information. I'm not at all associated with the bot, I am just a fan that was very impressed with seeing this after reviewing all the other chatbots.

Oh I see. In that case, I will check it out again when it has been implemented.

Did I ever mention that my bot can converse in over 100 languages and regional dialects? It can also work out advanced mathemetics and chemical formulae. Plus it can also make you a cup of coffee in the morning. Unfortunately, it hasn't been implemented yet.  ;)

In the world of AI, we see all sorts of claims every week. I am loathed to believe anything until I can see a demo in action.
