Looking to work from kitchen
« on: August 04, 2020, 10:09:15 pm »
Because I sit too much, I need to stand more.

Anyone know how to connect a monitor, mouse, and keyboard to my bedroom tower PC wirelessly? I don't have a laptop.

If I need a laptop it's 3x more money...

If you can find a suitable coffee table, you can put that on your desk and then put your keyboard, mouse, and monitor on top of that. You won't want to stand up all day, that's just as bad as sitting down all day, but you should be able to change them over pretty easily. You can also get special purpose "desktop risers" that achieve the same thing more elegantly.

A better solution would be to spend some time away from your computer. Go outside and play with the other kids.

Think I found a cheap notebook "laptop", 250$. That's all I need.

I built a small wooden stand to place my screen on so that when I sit, the screen is at eye level (this is recommended for health reasons), and when I stand up, I can use a second keyboard placed on top of the stand. Monitor stands are sold in stores but you could just use a cardboard box all the same. I also have RSI software tell me to get away from my computer every hour, do some pushups and chores, since we can't get out much.

There are wireless bluetooth keyboard with mouse track pads on them, but they're 1/3rd the price of a notebook, plus they run on batteries.

I totally agree with Infurl's advice, since that's also the advice given by health research.
CO2 retains heat. More CO2 in the air = hotter climate.
