Hi everybody!

I'm going to clarify all this the credit card issue.

If you try to register, you will see that the Account type, Credit card number and Expiration date fields are locked and you cannot fill them. We only ask for your name, email, username and password. No credit card number.

When the final version is released, there will be different account types, one of them will be free. Please take into account that this platform involves geeks, researchers, designers and companies and each profile has different needs.

I just noticed something about the website that I think the developer should do something about.

On the sign up page the site is asking for “Credit card number” and “Expiration date” but there is no padlock being shown in my browser (IE9).

Now forgive me, but no one should ever enter card details into a page that doesn’t have a padlock showing. Isn’t that basic security protocol?

Yes should be HTTPS for an encrypted connection...  :o

Both of you are absolutely right! As I said before, we don't ask for that information. However, we are working on the HTTPS and the page will show a padlock, because as Data said it is a basic security protocol  ;)

I'm not sure if you watched this video, but it explains quite well what is Fiona and how it works. Just in case ;)

We are also working in some tutorial for the people testing the platform.

There's an API for C++ ! I was expecting, like so many other APIs, the force-you-to-use Java approach.
I like it already !

by the way, I'm reading the API guide .. .. I volunteer to correct the grammar.

Hey guys!

We've just uploaded some screencasts to our YouTube channel about how to use the Sparklink (developer environment). You can take a look at them if you want to see how Fiona works!

BTW, if someone here is interested in joining Fiona's beta version, please tell us!   ;)
