Oh, I think I got it. There's something between you guys? Is it about who created what?

Ok. On the other hand, if we're all part of the Group, this kind of issues vanish instantly.

Well, I'm here, ready to launch it when you guys are ready.

Nice talk!

I'm ready!

"Is it about who created what?"
No, no no no. As I said, that doesn't matter.

"Ok. On the other hand, if we're all part of the Group, this kind of issues vanish instantly."
Exactly. Work together, share all for free ex. online software/etc. and combine technology "no two types of cars needed".

Hi everyone in ‘the group’.

A Beowulf is just a collection of computers on a local high speed network were the network/ software topology has been tuned/ optimized to achieve shorter/ faster processing times than a single processor alone could manage; similar to multi-threading but without the memory/ bus/ port bottle necks.  There are processing nodes that handle the actual data processing and a manager/ master terminal that receives/ distributes the data and processes the overall networks progress though flags etc.

My AGI has audio input streams from microphones, stereo vision from cameras, etc.  It’s much more efficient to process these input streams on separate CPU’s and then pass the results to the master model.  A standard PC would grind to a halt trying to process this amount of information… the solution is to use many processors. This approach obviously has a break even point… where the network latency is faster than the ability of a single core to process the information and is only suitable for large data models.

I run 6 X 4 core q6600 cps’s clocked at 4 Ghz.  I have custom code that enables me to split large neuromorphic processor models into sections and distribute it evenly amongst the machines taking into account processor load balancing etc.  So your I7 might have four cores… where I have 24 cores.

This does not mean I can run standard Win/ Linux software faster; the programs have to be written especially to take the Beowulf topology into account.

Good luck with ‘the group’… I and your fellow forum mates who choose not to join; are here for you if you require our… well you know!

Anyway… It’s the Summer Solstice/ Mid Summers Eve so I’ve got to go dance naked around the Henge with all my fellow heathens… now where did I put my Druid Staff?

Thanks Korrelan, that's very cool. And I'll dance too.

Ok! So, let's find 20 insanely creative members!

I'm in right? I even have the Imagination Generator - a massively marketable advanced technology. I'm ultra creative and am 21 y/o.

Why can't we start even if we only have say 3 members?

Yes you're in! Just promess that one day, soon or later, you'll write a "hello what's your name" program and show me the source ;)

We need 20 members before we start, because with only 10 the Group would collapse. 20 is the minimum to start expansion. Trust me.

...I hope you get more members soon...

So, what would we start doing Zero? We all would talk somehow, then decide on the best ideas to actually go and code, even add on to what we built so far? Explain some "progress examples" we'd do.

No no no no... I hope we get more members. Remember, there are no super-member. If we want to find members, we need to actively look for members, announce in forums, send mails, spread the word, and ask new members to do the same... I won't do it alone.

What would we start doing? I don't know yet, since we haven't vote for the first Request For Decision, which is "What should be the second Request For Decision?"

Where are you from? If you speak another language, you can also look for non-english-speaking coders. I'll look for french AI junkies :)

1st Request For Decision !

Vote.

A basis for the current group, is that each member can make a RFD and discuss their main ideas that will have the greatest impact on our AI, whether real or simulated robot, and members will vote on member RFDs.

2nd Request For Decision !

Vote.

We will respect the fact that, anyone who can fluently code and use/find any needed tools/libs/etc and work with binary etc, such as korrelan and Ranch, are not the main Energy of the group, because they've had the chance to implement any discover yet haven't made anything great, because they do not have anything fully, because they would have been able to code at least something big by now if they knew the instructions (technology) and are able to create it (know how). And we will therefore respect that the technology of tomorrow lies more so in the non-coders who are Potential Candidates of having something (technology) but not yet created (know how). Meaning we don't want just coders, because they have had the chance to create their discoveries, yet haven't, why?, they can implement them, but don't have the instructions for anything! I respect korrelan and Ranch may have even big things, maybe parts ah, but this essentially holds true, if I'm correct.

Ok, I see. Let's take them one by one.

First, you can't say "they haven't made anything great". You simply don't know that. What we know for sure is that you haven't made anything great, since you can't code. "To make" is a very special verb. Making real and thinking are not the same at all.

Second, we start voting for RFDs when we have 20 members, not before. Keep them in your head until that day please.

Third. You don't realize that you want to be part of a team that plans to climb Everest, without being able to walk, do you? When we're all at the top, where will you be? Still in the valley, waving hand?

You're young and strong, I like that. You got the gift, but for some reason, you're still not using it. Don't be afraid my friend, you can do it. You can code.

Now, relax and do exactly as I say.

Make a search for a downloadable Perl ebook. Now. Download it and show me the link in your next message, so I can download the same ebook. Then, if you're on Windows, download and install Strawberry Perl.

Go!

EDIT: This book should be fine.

Our team shouldn't be only-coders. That limits capability. As explained, they clearly haven't made AI yet. Non-coders are potential candidates who haven't made anything yet either but may have something. Coders, not so much, they've had their go in compiler.

I figured out simulation is the way to go, I've already got my modifiable million dollar baby, and will hire coders. I actually need python for Blender.

You can't understand why "they haven't made AI", because you don't code. No one can be told what it's like to implement a great idea. You have to see it for yourself. Code, then you'll understand.

21 years ago, I was inventing "goal-based" agents, because I had no internet and I didn't know it had already been invented. I used to call it "moteur à but" (goal engine). Look at this. That's me, still working on AI, a few years ago. I started coding and working on AI at 10 years old, 30 years ago. Never stopped. Never will.

You need to understand that words on paper are nothing. Now, for you, becoming a coder represents a risk, because if you don't succeed, it means that you failed, just like the rest of us, which means that you're not above us. You know what? No pain, no gain. Play the game, or you can't win!

Now get your hands on this fkin ebook!  ::)

EDIT: If you prefer Python, that's fine!

Gonna save all that text you know wahaha. Years worth of information. Boom ya. I like how you save spaced lines with dates. My hierarchy is huge walls of text undated, only dated by my nightly Gmail backups. I started it at 18, locked onto AI at 20. Almost 22 now. Just as much if not more text as you have on that page. I'll name the file "Zero's Diary". Already neatly tucked away in my storage.

As I said, if they can code, that means they can easily implement it. If korrelan has a hard time coding/etc then he isn't actually 100% a complete coder !
