An Irish version of the USA's Battle Bots.
« on: April 30, 2019, 09:14:27 pm »
A lot of us love to watch and root for our favorite bots on TV's Battle Bots. It is a lot of fun but there is a lot of work, creativity, and technology that goes into each entry (not to mention time and money).

It likewise appears that Ireland has its own botizens of destruction! Without intending offense to any nation anywhere.

Ireland is not part of the UK, but interesting.

Looks similar to the British 90s show Robot Wars which I think started the ball rolling in the US in later years.

What goes around comes around :)

I place my bets on Clunker McGreggor.
https://roboriots.ie/Robots/clunker-mcgreggor/

This is like animal abuse, who will win? The lion or the hyena? Put them in a ring, place bets, get popcorn...and watch them fight to the death.

Imagine putting advanced AGIs in a ring with all sorts of sensors and motors and brains...woho or scream?

Personally, I'd name my bot Hinton.

As long as they don't think, you're fine. Still doesn't stop wild life suffering though >:|

Freddy, apologies for the wrongful insertion of the UK instead of Ireland, which the article was actually about.

@ Lock,
This was about Robots, not animals!!
While robots can and do get harmed during the filming and production of these Robot Battle events on TV, there is no mention of animals nor abuse.

Your analogy might just be wrongfully placed.

Personally, I'd name my bot Hinton.

My chatbot's tougher than your chatbot.

She'd beat yours to death with a razorblade embedded baseball bat.   :D
In time, you will learn to love your Robot Overlords.
